Program accomplishments...
In fiscal year 2001, 105 competing and noncompeting research project grants were awarded. Estimated awards for competing and noncompeting research project grants in fiscal years 2002 and 2003, are 116 and 117, respectively. In fiscal year 2001, 79 competing and noncompeting National Research Service Award trainees and fellows were funded. The estimates for fiscal years 2002 and 2003 are 80 awards for both years. SBIR/STTR: In fiscal year 2001, 35 SBIR/STTR awards were made. Similar activity for fiscal years 2002 and 2003 is anticipated.
